The Gay Ghost of The George Hotel
I was asked to investigate The George Hotel, in North Norfolk by Paranormal Norfolk, a regional magazine dedicated to all things spooky. Paul Hanrahan; the television Ghost Detective, who also writes a column for them was to be involved and we were looking for a famous ghost known as The Green Lady. Instead, we found a ghost of an entirely different color.
LambdaResorts.com is pleased to bring you TAG Approved Accommodations Program, Community Marketing's global campaign to identify and cooperatively promote “gay-welcoming” accommodations.
Presenting a unique new opportunity for 'gay welcoming' hotels, resorts and B&Bs to reach and serve the gay and lesbian community.
Dear Hospitality Colleague,
Are you looking to grow into new markets? Consider the gay and lesbian market, growing rapidly, and representing an
estimated US $54.1 billion in annual travel spending in the USA alone. More and more frequently, gay travelers seek
out and book hotels and resorts where they are sure to feel comfortable during their stay.
MISSION
Our mission is to identify and help promote hotels, resorts and inns which genuinely welcome gay and lesbian
travelers, and which have polices and training to back-up that claim. Today, over 700 TAG-Approved properties are
identified as welcoming and non-discriminatory.

If an employee is found making homophobic statements or actions for example, appropriate training/personnel action would be taken to ensure a gay-welcoming atmosphere. In addition, the property must pay travel agent commissions. Please see
application for details.
Right to use TAG-Approved® Logo on all promotional materials.
Optional discounts on our popular marketing programs. For example, TAG Approved® accommodations receive a 25% discount on our Gay & Lesbian World Travel Expos, and accommodations can be listed in the Gay Travel News publication for only $25 per issue.
Quarterly marketing and membership letter.
If you would like your property to be TAG-Approved® please complete the registration form, attached, and fax it to 415/552-5104. Your property must meet or exceed TAG's minimum conditional acceptance standards to qualify.
